Fairy Godmothers Always Listen

When the daughter was all giggles,

            she expected to be, by all, well

                        treated,

so she did not need to wish on a star.

 

When a baby sweet,

             well cared for, giving all

                         smiles,

her royalty were mommy and daddy.

When it was a world filled with,

            but she did not even know it yet,

                        towers

            that she did not yet have to climb,

​

When it was still not desert and sea

            she would have to cross,

                        kingdom

            and self to save, she made no big wishes.

​

When it was time to wish, she wished

            with all of her beauty,

                        purity

            even though it was hard, she believed.
